Data handling

Case material stays in the firm’s controlled environment during processing.

Public AI services can place case material into third-party systems outside the firm’s direct control. VaultCraft keeps matter processing inside a dedicated local environment and is designed to keep extracted assertions connected to the evidence that supports them.

Processing location

Engagements may use one of these modes, as defined in the applicable agreement:

  • ·Firm-hosted deployment — appliance operated in the firm’s approved environment.
  • ·Concierge pilot — VaultCraft-controlled hardware temporarily operated inside an approved environment.
  • ·Dedicated local processing — matter processing without reliance on consumer cloud AI APIs during the processing workflow.

Cloud-service use

During matter processing, Transcript Auditor is operated without consumer cloud AI APIs, remote model APIs used for case content, or external transcription services for that workflow. Software-update and operational telemetry practices, if any, are defined in the engagement configuration and do not require sending case media to consumer AI platforms.

Model training

VaultCraft does not use client matter content to train shared models.

Ownership

The firm retains ownership of its source material and engagement outputs, subject to the applicable agreement.

Retention

Matter retention and deletion requirements are defined in the applicable engagement agreement.

Matter isolation

Controls intended for pilot and deployment engagements include:

  • ·Matter-specific workspaces
  • ·Access restrictions
  • ·Separation of working files
  • ·Documented closeout procedure

Audit records

Runs are designed to record:

Input hashes Output hashes Model version Software version Processing parameters Run time Review status

Human review

Uncertain outputs are flagged for human review. Transcript Auditor is attorney-supervised tooling—not a substitute for attorney judgment.

Confidentiality and conflicts

VaultCraft can execute appropriate confidentiality terms before receiving matter material. Conflict-review procedures and matter restrictions are addressed during engagement intake.

Disclaimer

Transcript Auditor is litigation-support technology. It does not provide legal advice, make legal conclusions, or replace attorney judgment. VaultCraft helps firms reduce the privilege and confidentiality risks introduced by sending case material to public AI systems; it does not guarantee preservation of attorney-client privilege as a legal conclusion.
